Every exchange on this site is scored from 0 to 5 across six factors, then combined into a single weighted overall rating. We use the same factors and weights for every exchange so our rankings stay consistent and comparable.
How we weight each factor
- Fees: 30%
- Availability: 20%
- Customer support: 20%
- Staking: 10%
- Wallet: 10%
- Mobile app: 10%
What each factor measures
- Fees — trading (maker/taker) costs, spreads, and deposit/withdrawal charges.
- Availability — the number of supported cryptocurrencies and US state coverage.
- Customer support — responsiveness and the quality of help channels.
- Staking — the range and accessibility of staking products.
- Wallet — custody options and security features.
- Mobile app — usability and features of the mobile experience.
How we keep reviews current
Each exchange review shows a "last reviewed" date. We revisit pricing and features periodically and update the data behind these pages.
